CarbonCone Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 Cant seem to get to the bottom of this. Got a hissing noise from my amp'd speakers, hissing noise is there even when the volume is set to 0. When I'm driving the car hard I can hear the alternator while but that's at like 5k rpm I have tried the following and still no luck: Different amps Have grounded the head unit straight to the battery Ground head-unit rca's to head unit Changed rca leads Have tried a ground loop isolator Any help would be great. Many Thanks p.s. cant remember correctly but I"m sure when I had the rca's out of the head unit the sound was still there. (will confirm this once the weather clears up)

CarbonCone Posted December 22, 2016 Author Report Posted December 22, 2016 I'm using the rockford 3sixty.3, I also unplugged the rcas from this straight to the amp and still had the problem, amp is set to full pass
reedal Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 is it coming from all speakers, or just tweeters, just mids, etc? Has it always done this, or did it start recently? You did the big three? Where are all of your grounds at? If you took the 3Sixty.3 out of the circuit and it was still there, it's either the HU, the location of the RCAs, or the amp (high noise floor, bad ground). Also, what amps, HU, and speakers do you have? Some amps have been found to have an awful noise floor. Skullz Posted December 22, 2016 Report Posted December 22, 2016 Check all your grounds even if you think they are perfectly fine you might not have a good enough connection and causing the hiss. Another thing to do is ground your rca's on the H/U to prevent a problem from there. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
