jimdog32526 Posted January 4, 2017 Author Report Posted January 4, 2017 I love Portnoy's drumming style. He has an attack like a 5000lb shark. The new guy is fantastic too, just not the same though. But he is awesome in his own way, I just miss the shit out of Portnoy's ferocious attack.
aculous Posted January 5, 2017 Report Posted January 5, 2017 Check out the devin townsend project if you like DT. Also Pain of Salvation, Porcupine Tree and Animals as leaders are good stuff too. I wouldn't put DT anywhere close to Rush but thats a super biased opinion.

DT though similar, are completely different. I dont really class them as the same genera, just both bands have a full house of world class talent.

jimdog32526 Posted January 5, 2017 Author Report Posted January 5, 2017 Badass. its nice to see so many young people doing covers of DT stuff. When I was that age, my band was doing covers of all of Exit Stage Left. We were the shit back then. we didnt hold a candle to these kids these days.
