Modern engines with roller cams have no use for it. I use Rotella in all my older trucks, gas diesel big and small. A 5 gallon bucket is the most economical but it seems the price is always going up. Newer vehicles get Mobil1. Purolator or Napa filters. Yup. In fact if you have to worry about smog testing RP will often cause it to fail. For the price, I'll pass on it every time. Broke_Audio_Addict
Mobil 1, because I drink it and they paying me for it. Helps the bowel movements just slide on through. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. All I gotta say is wow! My truck runs smoother, quieter, shifts better and is faster. I used a K&N performance gold filter and 5w-30 Royal Purple HMX. My truck has 200,700 miles on it and it runs like new. I did spend about three times as much as I usually do, but it was worth it. I can tell my truck is faster now. K&N filters do flow a lot more air, they also flow a lot more dirt. Do a google search on it. If you are always driving on pavement, probably doesn't matter. I'd never put a K&N in anything that ever drives off pavement though, FYI.
