jbeez
I just started ordering some parts from prometh to get a meth injection kit setup on my '14 SHO. Anyone have experience with meth kits? Any experienced advice about things you would do differently? So far I got a pump coming, some nozzles, checkvalve/filter, and all SS lines. Didn't get a tank yet because.... well I got too many subs in my trunk and I need to redo that, so no idea what I can fit there yet haha
Broke_Audio_Addict
May i ask why you even want to run the meth kit? is it stock or mostly stock? gonna have it dyno tuned? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. boom50cal
hmmm. i've considered spraying meth along with nitrous. might try it so i don't have to pull as much timing when spraying the giggle gas. did some research on it. lot of conflicting opinions though. would probably just be better off doing a stand alone wet kit with c16 or something. are you running a stock intercooler setup on your show? you might be better off running e85. this isn't really the forum to ask lol. aculous
are you talking pure meth or a water/meth kit? I've used water/meth kits on diesels to cool the intake charge but thats about it. Running methanol as fuel would be fun but it would turn it into a fuel racecar because of the PITA factor.

I have the bolt ons, ppe catted downpipes, tune, drop in replacement air filter, plugs, have a colder tstat not installed yet, hot pipes w/ tial BOV, stock turbos. My tuner will do a meth tune on my car for me and just remote tune it. stock turbos limit boost to about 17psi, then there is some limit on the drive train, the PTU likes to blow up after a certain point so I'm not really interested in going full out on this just want the meth to cool the intake charge, give me a few more ponies, and wash the carbon off the back of my direct injected valves

I was considering a 50/50 mix. Here's my understanding of it. The water just slows the flame front and cools the exhaust or combustion event which can help with ignition timing, forget which. The meth adds fuel, it cools the hot air. I would still run 93octane pump gas, the meth would only spray when I start getting into boost, like 7psi or 10psi maybe and up. I have an adjustable hobbs switch that works on pressure of the upper intake, if it sees pressure in there it will start close a circuit and that will ground a trunk relay to tell my pump to start spraying. One of my challenges is I just flashed the pcm so I don't have a bunch of extra inputs or whatever to control things. I did a quick and dirty photoshop for an idea to dump my boost for failsafe condition, but still working on the whole solution. I still need to pick a tank, need to change my subs over to infinite baffle, and figure out how to trigger my failsafe, like which conditions I want to make it shut everything down. While I was writing this post majority of my kit parts showed up, wasn't expecting them till monday https://photos.app.goo.gl/ACfuc6aHwfL5xORk2
