Mid bass FTW imo ( and a little sizzle). What are the 6.5's & 8's crossed over at?

6.5" 100 hz and up

8" 120 hz down to 65 hz

I used expanding foam and PL glue in the cracks and crevices inside my door panel.  PL doesnt bond to plastic that well, though.

EDIT: doors look great man, good job

I used hot glue everywhere on the panel to try seal it up and make it stronger before and modify. Thanks for chiming to give examples of how you did it.

Did the hot glue stick well?  Curious, because even though the PL helped fill voids and definitely decreased rattles, it didnt adhere to the surfaces well so I would use something different in the future.  The expanding foam worked great though.

Yes the hot glue sticks well IMO. I hope the expanding foam will add the strength to take the flex and rattle away.

I want to try E-6000 on some spots in my car. That stuff forms a flexible bond to plastic really well. Used it for so many things around the house. My car's front grill is laser cut from a guy on a Sonic forum and E-6000 literally holds the whole thing together. Had it installed for 18months and no sign of failure in sight. Full weather, texas 110deg heat, road crud, etc.

Map pocket area would be good IMO. the other area i don't know, I would think using filler to make that solid would be better. Like i said, after i finished layering the fiber glass i used Kitty Hair Bondo to help reinforce those kind of spots. Looks like you have a solid lay out on the doors, should turn out killer when your done.

There is no real need that I see.

Once you wrap the pods in fleece and soak it in resin, the resin will soak into the rings as well making a very strong bond as 1 entire piece.

Then you can go over the interior of the pod with fiberglass cloth/chopmat if your still concerned, and do a layer of kitty hair on the exterior to smooth out any blemishes before filling any smaller imperfections in with bondo.
