sactownstang
Looking to change my port frequency a bit, wondering what the best way to cut the ports. 4" weren't to bad to use a hacksaw, but the 6" is a pain in the ass!! Any ideas?

Boon
Top tip, don't use a jigsaw. It's really hard to get the cut straight all the way around unless you mark the cut and follow it super carefully. Also you waste pipe and that 6" stuff can be hard to come across I use a great big hand saw with fairly fine teeth. Makes quick easy work of it. Consider taping the pipe down to something to stop it wiggling around. Also masking tape around where you cut, makes it easier to mark out and prevents any mess if you slip when cutting it Quote 10.x volts fo' life! Team Bassick - Kimo
trick for straight cuts with jig saw or hand saw, use a large band style hose clamp as a fence like a ring compressor for pistons, that kind of clamp? jack
like a ring compressor for pistons, that kind of clamp? i wouldnt take a chance at scarring that up, just some hose clamps hooked together, make some guide marks on a few spots on the pipe and line up the clamp and tighten. then you can use a hacksaw or whatever and work tour way around the pipe Quote http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=29213 "sleeper build" (1) DC AUDIO Level4XL 10 (2) PowermasterD2700 batteries ALL FOR SALE TEAM DC AUDIO TEAM DIRTFLOORPOOR
psturmer
best way i have done is a V-block and a band saw. otherwise a miter saw or a table saw will work. i have also used a hack saw.
