byron2817 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 higher frequency notes are louder outside car.like 45 hertz n up NEED TO GET LOUDER!!!
duct_tape123 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 No, I think hes serious. My friend has 2 T1 12's run off of a ZX1500.1 in his Camaro and those fuckers are loud, but when he closes the windows you can barley hear anything. He has 120 ft^2 of eDead in the back and the only thing that rattles is the door handles.
Sampsonite Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 You said deadening materials, but does it really matter that much? The reason I ask is because I've seen 2 Legacy 12"s (I know, stop laughing, I promise they weren't mine), on a backseat in a small sealed box facing forward, that you could hear coming real far. Inside the car, it wasn't the greatest by any means, and I KNOW your equipment is MUCH MUCH BETTER, that's why I don't understand. I'm thinking you're using the term "Barely hear the Burb", very loosely. Enlighten me with any ideas if you can plz. Pssshhhhh.. Barely heard it?? It set car alarms off like 50 foot away --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
imfrom210texas Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Pssshhhhh.. Barely heard it?? It set car alarms off like 50 foot awayThat's kind of what I figured. If Morgan Freeman narrated a story on how great AIDS is, I would be captivated and tempted to contract it myself. His voice just fills my soul with warm fuzzies and puppy tears. He has NO idea and may have a touch of autism to be honest. Is this guy real or is he joking? i actually mistook him for a lesbian in that demo video Wanted to mess around with a box for the garage. Was thinking 4 6x9 in 4 cube at like 30 hz... These are the things that make me lol
roscoe1129 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 OK maybe an understatement a little.... but really 4 what I had when it was sealed you wouldnt think it had all that in it. Big P Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 A out of tune box will produce loud bass out of the vehicle. It takes a few feet for a sound wave to form. Depending on the frequency it is grater or lesser. So when you tune your box you take that into consideration the size of the box port size and placement all affect the sound wave. A improperly tuned box will cause the sound wave to finish forming out side of the vehicle there for causing it to be louder when driving by.
cichlidfort Posted August 12, 2008 Author Report Posted August 12, 2008 I was told that when you use deadening material you actually gain dbs. So how do you gain db if you become quieter on the inside? 2008 Chevy Impala (undercover cop style) Setup in the makings
BenH Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Unless you're doing MECA driveby, there is no reason to want to be loud on the outside. 1992 GMC Sonoma 2008 MECA S1 Champ, 2010 MECA S2 Champ
