usmc7980
I want to paint the case of my soon to be 100.4 to match the exterior of my truck, what finish does the heatsink have and will cause any problems on your end as far as warranty since I would be taking the cover off the amp? Basically I just don't want to void the warranty by opening it up
Torres
PM would be better...he'd be certain to see it and he could get back to you much easier/faster Edited September 3, 2008 by ExpoSport
sundownz
I cannot guarantee the quality of your work removing the entire PCB board and re-clamping the MOSFETs, etc -- so this will void your warranty. If you want to sent it to db-r and have him remove it for you and also re-install it that would be okay, but you would need to talk to him about it. I don't want to wait the 12 weeks and then have to send it to Chris and wait for him to turn it around. Thanks
sundownz
Indeed - I am sure you would be careful, but, if I let one person do it then there is the ol, "Well, so and so did it and didn't void their warranty!" thing that will come up. Masking it off should do okay. AI James
id say fuck the warranty and do whatever i wanted. 90 percent of the time when the amp blows its from stupidity anyhow, so if i care that much aobut looks then id just do it.
