a_steezy Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 i need some quick opinions and have a few questions i'm dumpin my current set up for either two 15" or two 18" DC LVL 4's, depends if i want a trunk or not, 15's would pretty much sit exactly where my current box is, 18's would fill the trunk i'm wanting to give them roughly 3,000 watts my choices i'm looking at are the hifonics XXV Colossus 3,200 watts at 2 ohms a sundown saz-3000d which is at 1 ohm a kicker zx2500.1 at 2 ohms is there honestly a noticable difference between a 1 and 2 ohm load? im guessing i have a 150-180 amp alt... not sure, does anyone know where to find this? i currently have a Powermaster D3400 under the hood, and i plan on doing the big 3 in 1/0 awg soon from what i understand i should be able to run the power at 2 ohms, but 1 ohm may be difficult? also if anyone can help me out with the alt problem, i have a 1998 dodge durango 5.9L V8 with tow package, and the H/O alt upgrade. i can go find serial numbers also thanks guys '98 Dodge Durango 5.9L 5% front windows, 2.5% on all backs Alpine CDA-9883 Kicker ZX350.4 Kicker KS650's in all doors Kicker 1/0 hyperflex

Forevrbumpn Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I would get lvl5 coils if your planning on a running a 3000d beat me to it, 1000 watt coils, on about 1500w a sub Id say the same level 5 coils or if you have a few months, wait for the SAZ-2000 I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
