Again, its a new style Z motor, its not as strong as the origional Z motor that cost $3000+. This is more less a prototype 9500Z series sub, or a neo magnet for the 9500 series, that is stronger then the normal magnets, but weaker then the $3000 Z series magnet.

They are the new triple stack ones and I have them optioned with carbon fibre dust caps. I have around 16,000wrms between them and they sound killer! Very excellent sound, ok well they're not SQ drivers but they're not terrible. Loud? Boon Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 The 95 series subs (and the 35s to a lesser extent) are a high motor force, low moving mass driver... they can do anything you want really. Because they CAN get very loud people often see them in setups made to pull numbers and think they sound crap but as mentioned several times above, if you put them in a low-tuned box with an SQ setup they sound very very good. 10.x volts fo' life!

So, do you have yours tuned at 40hz, like DD recommends ? And, have you heard these same subs tuned higher (for a straight up burp box) or lower, for a straight SQ setup ??? Peace, Fish
loburbon Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 i am a dd dealer, and the 3500's are expensive. but the have awsome sound quality. i did two 3515d2's off a dd m3 in my explorer, it did a 151.3@51hz. it was tuned to 32hz. it would played 25hz like crazy. it all depends on your box and setup. that pic is infact a 95z. i was at finals this year and saw in person the 95z. it is a badass sub built to handle 3000+ watts rms daily all day long. there suggestion of tuning to 40hz is for an everyday box for normal people. not a super low make your nuts slap your forehead 30hz box like we all like. my wife has two dd1508's in her truck and she does a 137.7. and it sounds killer. dd does have great sq, but they also get loud. and dd has alot of world records to there credit. 2000 gmc yukon 4 sundown Zv3 15's 4 dd m2a's kenwood kdc-x994 2 batcap 4000's 1 batcap 2000 dual alts. 154@37hz and climbing http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3231683 http://www.myspace.com/torque150

Thus proving more is not always better But that speaker I purchased is something new for dd. It is a neo mag like on the beast Z series subs that are 15,000rms. These I would think would be more cost effective then the Z subs that cost $3000+. I seen the pics on soundpressure a week or 2 back, but then Nick found the site with info on it and pics that where removed from soundpressure. edited for english LOL its harder to get big numbers in ex classes with multiple subs than it is with a single sub......Nate Munson was tearing shit up in ex 1-2 with a single 9917 and was louder than Big Jim and 6 Stroker 18s and China at Underground with 13+ Shocker supers... Kyle Witherspoon was kicking major ass in SS 1-2 when he had 2 DD 9900's and RF amps back when he was with RF... LOL But you cant take his loudness away from him, so many people say he stold other peoples box designs and what not, but the truth of it is that if it was true, he wouldnt be the only one doing 180+ with 1 sub
