Punkeyboozter
Id go with Ohio Gen as well. The only company that was really willing to help me ... may I add that it worked like a charm. Loudness is no substitute for musicianship, and partial deafness is no badge of honor. Charger
So does anyone have info on making custom brackets? And also, if anyone knows, how long does it take to get a TermLab from their website after you order it? They haven't even charged my account yet. We recieved ours after around 2 weeks, that's from USA to Australia. Very swift. Punkeyboozter
We recieved ours after around 2 weeks, that's from USA to Australia. Very swift.2 weaks, that is pretty good for a custom bracket. Taken into considderation cars across continants can be different. ohio gen took 3 days to make me a custom alt then told me ill receive my alt in a weaks time. I received it 3 days later and thats to singapore. with that combo of the bracket and the alt going at the same time. surely cant go wrong Loudness is no substitute for musicianship, and partial deafness is no badge of honor. Charger
I was happy with two weeks which seemed like practically nothing. Customs in Australia sucks, my DD gear sat in customs for 10 days with no explanation, longest 10 days in my life! Neo_frog
Id go with Ohio Gen as well. The only company that was really willing to help me ... may I add that it worked like a charm. Yeah, my first alt was a 200A Ohio and I saw a pretty big difference after upgrading to a 300A Iraggi, but only at high RMPs. The Ohio one was better performance wise IMO. I'm gonna check out DC next. They are getting good reviews. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions? Neo_frog
I'm hoping to keep this thread going until I start the build and continue to get tips, but here's my plan so far: I'm thinking of doing something similar to 2000lade's setup with 12 15s and 4KW amps, but only six amps. It's a big van, and if I can get the alts setup I'm shooting for, then it won't be a problem in this van. I'm hoping for four alts total, only three of which power the system at 16V. I don't know what the 4KWs clamp at 16+V but I know it's more than 4K. (If you know, could you let me know what you got?) I'm not sure what kind of enclosure just yet, but I have a welder at work and unlimited steel for framing. I want it to be ported and tuned around 30-32hZ. And even if I don't hit my 160 mark it will be a hell of a van nonetheless! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/hairtrick.gif Need an install? Get them turning a little and its a different story. A 200a alt will always outperform a 300 amp at idle speeds.
