Maybe in your eyes, but I do understand it is your opinion and what not. On a further note thats like me saying RE is shitty... Which its not in any way. Like someone else said, to each there own. Then again Red-Navi shouldn't diss on W7's. I don't like JL but I respect the W7 Derp.

NotoriouslyLoud Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 I have played with the jl w7, 2 13s in a focus not bad sounding at all, but for the price with todays market of great subs that dont carry all the overhead of the jl name I think you could find a better sub for the price. I personal am about big numbers at low htz and the jl does not really fit my needs. But again to each there own, i have heard lots of subs that I would not normally stop and look at do big numbers at shows. RamenNoodles Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 I had 2 12w6v2s to a 1000/1 and it was pretty damn loud for what it was. Pretty decent SQ and got loud doing so. I dont knock the product at all, but the prices I dont exactly agree with. They are like the ferrari of car audio. Great product, very expensive but you can find other cars out there that are just as nice, and faster for cheaper. The name and nostalgia are what you pay for. finkster Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 I had an 07 kicker L7 12" and it got loud and sounded decent, never stunk tho...it sounded like ass on the low end tho, didnt pick up shit, and my enclosure was tuned to 32 hertz so i guess thats all i was really disappointed about... doug118 Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 JL's in my area are looked at the same way BTL's, 9500's, DC lvl5, etc are looked at on here. Most places want $1k+ for the 1000.1.. "its 1000 watts and digital, nothing is better" and same for the W7's BUT I have not heard a better sound quality subwoofer then the old W6's (haven't heard new ones or W7's) and I did score a set of their top of the line 6.5" components and holy shit did those things scream.. of course their are products out there that are way louder for way cheaper but if everyone wanted to go the cheap route then there would be no such thing are Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz and companies like that. Some people don't mind spending the money for things that they believe are high quality products 2001 Tahoe. Nightshade Posted January 1, 2009 Report Posted January 1, 2009 yeah i really like the w0 line tho haha soley becasue they made 6 1/2 al the way up to the 18 lol when i get some cash i really wanna get 1 of each of those lol them lil ol 6 1/2's are really nice for doors.The Tang Bang 6 1/2 that you can get off of partsexpress will eat the JL 6 1/2 for breakfast. The little TB's have a 13 mm xmax and they sound really good. I'm probably going to have to buy some for myself to play around with here soon, cause I heard a pair of them and was very impressed with their output potential. I did hear a few of the JL's back in 2000 or so in a friend of mine's dad's car and wasn't all that blown away by them. They were nice for bass response in a small driver but not comparable to the TB's.
