MTX J30 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 i was drifting in a parking lot the pther day in the snow and it was really fun. i was wondering if it was possible to drift ion concrete in an automatic transmission front wheel drive car. how would i do it. Once or twice I have missed having a back seat / rear hatch, but all in all people love to see a walled vehcile. It just screams "i'm not fucking around with my setup, im loud"

wildbeast15 Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 e brake is the easiest but it will fuck up your rear end... best is to get some real power and just gun it.... thats how i do it arround watkins glen in my mustang... The set up your talking about would sound great in my Tahoe. Trade you my dog for it. He has one eye but that only makes for bad depth perception so hey so what if he is running into shit, look at it this way he is easy to sneak up ninja style on. (right side only)</div>

reinke Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 it is not possible in a ff. you can power brake (e-slide) like you were doing though. and your right it is fun. i love drifting in my f150. i scare the shit out of people when i do it. i have been drifting for a little over a year so i still have alot to learn but i can and do maintain control and safety when i do it. ----reference's---- meade916

They can give you the general idea, but it takes a lot of practice to get power drifting down to a calculated trajectory. You just rip the E and spin the back end around, then let the E down, counter steer and gas it through the corner. I do this all the time in my front wheel drive.
