Mosin
personally the subs suck, the amps suck, and the decks are IDK good if you have no system <<Not me...but i would atleast upgrade to kenwood or panasonic..... ^^ Fixed for ya. I have a Pioneer now, just looking for something a little different. Don't know much about Panasonic, Don't like Kenwood's layout. Quote Derp. People just think Sony suck because they've never seen/heard the super high end stuff. Sure their subs are all pretty meh but you shouldn't suggest all their gear sucks. Never heard of XES series amps. You got a link? I'd like to have a look at them. But I believe your word that they are nice. You have an opinion on this deck though?? I'm pretty interested in it. Benji0687
I have a couple of the old original Xplod amps (2) 1002HX and (1) 2252HX and all can run bridged at 2 ohm or single channel at 1 ohm. I have a old school Sony HU as the garage deck and its decent, just the preout voltage is uber weak. When it comes to decks, its Pioneer FTW and if i had to choose another then Alpine FTW too. kingsuv
I had an older Sony deck. Way before this new Xplode crap and it was a pretty nice deck. Their quality has really gone down over the years. Quote Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
LoudNLow3G
look into really high end sony decks, one of my personal favorites was the xplod mex-5di it had no pre-amp and was completely remote dependent for adjustments couldnt do anything from the deck itself....had three sets of 5v preouts and had a disc tray built into it that slid out like a dvd player never skipped a beat....had a cdx-m9000 i believe it was and it also never skipped even at 150 flat at 49hz Quote 2003 Eclipse GT Equipment Coming Soon.... 2 18" Fi BTL's 2 Crunch GP3000D-Pro's 3 XS Power D3100'S Lots of 1/
trainman0978
sony needs to stick to all non- car audio electronics. Their car audio line is gone way down hill...... having said that, I love my 50 sony LCD, and my brother loves his sony camera gear.... I have a very old sony alarm clock that still works good. but there is a reason most audio shops dont sell sony.... Quote 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Voo Doo Blue my upgrades and "build" thread.
