Dozier
Ok, so there is this guy over here who is thinking his setup is going to kick ass in his car. He is going to run two 15's and two 12's. I want to hear the opinions and facts about this. Is there some sort of cancellation that will occur? Will it sound bad? I have never got to listen to a setup like that with mixed subs. I told him it would sound like crap. I just want to make sure I am right. www.AlabamaDrift.com04 Silverado in the works

Ernesto
mixing subs will cause cancellation due to the size of the wavelengths not "matching" I think he will be fine as long as each sub has it's own chamber.

Dozier
mixing subs will cause cancellation due to the size of the wavelengths not "matching" I think he will be fine as long as each sub has it's own chamber.Think so? The guy was saying something about now he will be able to hit the lows and the mids with 12's and 15's. I mean in reality you would think that. But it still seems like somehow they would cancel. So if the subs all have their own chamber, it will be fine? He is having a box built buy some guy here who is lost and has never made one for subwoofers. I will let him know. www.AlabamaDrift.com04 Silverado in the works
Slinky
He will not be okay with that setup even if he does separate chambers. there WILL BE wave cancellation. i had a temp wall of 2 10's and 2 12's and it sounded decently loud but metered horrible. you could easily see the subs not moving in phase.
