Most people that do that just throw them in crappy boxes and mix whatever sub, mixing suzes, ohm loads, poer ratings and such. thus they sounds like crap. i know i have friends that are like that and i shun upon them because i dont like havign my friends ask me why their systems suck and why i cant do to much to help them and i say your mixing subs and your not giving them proper power and boxes. Even in good boxes ive heard crappy sounds from different sizes and brands/models. your system is an exception to this but for the most part mixing subs brands, sizes, ohm loads, whatever sound like crap. LSN2meBoom916
WOW. Ignorance rears its ugly head once again. If you don't study for a test...you are likely to fail. If you study... you are likely to pass. If you don't study BUT get LUCKY and ALREADY know the material, you are likely to pass. If you build/design your setup poorly or w/ out doing your homework, it is likely sound = crappolla. If you build/design your setup well...it is likely to sound good/loud. If you build/design your setup w/ out doing your homework and GET LUCKY, and it all works out ok, it is POSSIBLE to sound good/loud. Chance favors the prepaired. Make your own "LUCK" by doing your homework, or just roll the dice w/ your hard earned $$$. kickerman
it could be good to have different sizes. that way all notes are played.(ex: a ten can play higher than a 15) 18" mmats juggernaut rf t10001bd alpine h/u

BassHead7
yeah im no longer that big of a fan of doing this. for instance i had one 12" P2 one 12" Orion and one 15" P2. i unplugged the Orion and it sounded louder? weird. but i believe if u keep the same brand going on and give say the two 15"s there own amp and the two 12"s there own amp ull be fine. im tryin to sell everything though n get a nice set up of a couple FI's though so i dont Reccomend mixing subs rather then havin the same. MickyMcD
LSN2meBoom916 hit the nail on the head with a sledgehammer. It's all about cross-overs. If you take a look at a mid-size or largish-size PA stack, you've often got an 18'' hitting sub-bass and bass, 15''s smashing upper bass and low mid, 12's, 10's or 8's hitting mids then 2'' compression drivers, sometimes with a 18'' or 21'' woofer in a folded horn for long throw bass. But none of the speakers, apart from the bass bin and the horn are playing the same note. It's all about crossovers man. But, in a car environment with woofers so close together and similar in size, they will overlap. Even if both are in phase with correct polarity, that overlap can make it sound like turd. 10's and 15's might be aight though....... Just my two cents bro's.
