Blake insisted on building his own speaker from scrap wood with those three speakers. . . Little mans in bed right now so i figured I would answer this for now.. Ill have him check the board after school tomorrow and see if there is anything else he wants to add. Also if my calculations are correct it should be tuned to about 42-44...If someone wants to recheck that I would be greatly appreciated also. I sat there and asked what we needed and he started to rattle of things some good ideas and some kinda out there, but here is what we ended up with. Wood, screws, wood glue (impressed he thought of this one), the PVC, paint and nails but we took that off. Now he got all the stuff on the list on his own except and then i explained that there was two more things we should pick up caulking and wood filler. So now we are at Lowe's and staring at the sheets of Fiber Board and he says..."Dad how are we going to get this home, its not going to fit in the van" I told him since we will be making a smaller box we can have them cut the sheet in half and it will fit.. he was like cool. Got the wood cut and started to make our way through the list. 2" PVC, wood filler, wood glue and then we hit a road block.......Yes the paint section.....He looked so confused with all the paint sitting in front of him and not having any clue what one he wanted.. It was comical to say the least.... So we narrowed if down to 4 different textured type of paints. Black, brown, redish and a gold. I sat there and thought to my self "not the gold....not the gold...) ... then he picked up the black one and said this is it dad. Then we grabbed the screws and headed to the check out. The whole time he was saying cant we just start working on this tonight. Or even Friday, it not that cold out side....Man I might just give in and let him start after school tomorrow. We'll see how his day goes. But we snapped some pics when we got back home from Lowes.. Had to stop off and get some food for the machines before we unloaded... Helping getting the wood out of the van so that we didn't scratch up the bosses (wife's) Van Grabbing the goodies out the back.... This one kind looks like he just stole something... So he gave it a world class effort to help carry the wood in.... But it was just a little to big to get his arms around, so I gave him a hand....What a dad.. So it was a very productive night. Till tomorrow.. Only concern is the 2" port is gonna cause some noise but its not like you cant refigure later and put a wider one in as long as there is room. Andrew, I know your excited as hell but dont rush it take your time! I will be gone for a bout week starting friday but may be able to look in if not i expect plenty of pics and a vid or two when I get back!!! Good luck!
