mr.p
ok so if i use their wave guide horns with a custom compression driver, the only place to mount these things is under the dash...and i understand thats part of their design to disperse the sound around into the vehicle, but my explorer isnt long like most of the cars that these have been used in.... so im wondering if it is really truly terrible soundstaging to have them mounted under the dash facing the rear of the vehicle??? kingsuv
Low mounted horns will not sound terrible. Plenty of champion SQ cars have them mounted under the dash. As long as the mouth is clearing the underside you will be good. I have a pair of them in the X that I have just started messing with. They are tricky, but sound real nice when right. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

mr.p
good to know, i didnt know if the sound would disperse properly....anyone use ribbon midranges and tweets??? i was thinking of adding a pillar mid and tweet per side. it would look sick and wouldnt need much power to bring up the soundstage... ID wont sell the dang horns by themselves...their compression drivers are JUNK i cant believe they sell those things, maybe the higher end setup has the nicer ones...
