"shallow Mount" Subs

Recommended Posts

I found these and I got a few ideas where I could use them in a tight place. I was wondering if anyone has heard these in person or knows if they are any good. Bestbuys price is alot more expensive than most websites.

i've heard both like in the same spec box (their box requirements are near identical) off the same amp, and they are pretty much the same, but neither one is very loud. unless you really need something that works in a box that size use a real sub.

Shallow indeed! Those pioneers look crazy.

I'd go with the Kicker Comp CVT myself. Cheap on ebay (but alot more than say CVR):

i have heard people say the kicker needs some work done to em and the pioneer sounded the best. its not my opinion but i know i have read somebody sayin that on here someplace....

that was me

we install A LOT of shallows where I work, 3-4 setups with shallows per week, a lot of people have pickups/limited room

if you're going for sq and need low end, its amazing. We had one of those pioneers mounted in the cargo area of a mini, so he didnt lose any room, it sounded fantastic.

the shallows will never get loud though, and it may be that people who bought the kicker expected that of it, but they just cant do it.
