reinke
it is not bullshit. auto insurance only covers things that are screwed or bolted or welded to the car. it has to be attached in some way. your home owners/renters insurance will cover all the other stuff. may03LT
Personally I avoid claims since they are a pain in the ass. I agree, unless it's major it's easier to handle myself
Dr. Johnson
it is not bullshit. auto insurance only covers things that are screwed or bolted or welded to the car. it has to be attached in some way. your home owners/renters insurance will cover all the other stuff. Only if you were parked on your drive way or personal property. My Home owners is very specific what they will pay for. then again my insurance would pay for a new cd player with no questions asked (with a police report of course). Boon
Talk to your local shop. As long as you have proof of purchase they can sell you another faceplate. Pretty cheap too I believe... Quote 10.x volts fo' life!

From what i know, yess. Thats the main reason i got mine secured, well, other than the fact that it was moving around and shit. JSwongerAA
To get your system insured your probably gonna have to add it onto your policy as an aftermarket piece of equipment and pay extra each month or just get a separate policy for your beats. A requirement of nearly any insurance company is that your system is bolted down. Some will even give your a discount if you have a security system installed. Only way to find out is to start shopping for insurance rates.
