camino_1to3
Determine the F3 Factor of your woofers, then use that to decide whether or not they would work well in a sealed enclosure. OBI
Good subs for a sealed enclosure have a floppy suspension, expressed as a low Q and high Vas in the TS parameters. Could you post a link to the spec sheet? Drivers good for a ported box have a higher Q and lower Vas. Im pretty sure that subs made for sealed enclouseres have higher Q values and ones for ported have a lower Q value. Atleast that is when talking about Qts values. Atleast that is when talking about Qts values. This is correct. Low EBP and high Q are generally good for sealed. There are other parameters that will cancel this rule though in some cases. I knew that there were other parameters that determined weather a sub with a high Qts value would peform well in a ported enclouser but never found out which ones. Ive been searching for that with no luck. Also is that the same for putting a sub with low Q's in a sealed box?

LSN2meBoom916
Since "Loud" is a relative term....you should prolly mention what those setups did on mic or that post is kinda worthless. *Also* I did NOT mean to say My setups were in fact "LOUD"...at least not by SMD standards since ist's kinda 150+club round here all day, but I was guessing the OP was looking for "what can I expect out of a given sealed setup in a given car"...Otherwise he was just bored and done J/O to Pron.
