Forevrbumpn
nothing wrong with a 32" 720, i am actually AMAZED by the quality of the ones my kids have.....and also my 50" 720 is no slouch. I think you start noticing the diff between 1080 and 720 AFTER 55" but some purists might say different. For me personally its true..... edit: and on the H/K tip, yes that deck is much nicer then the sony i had in there.....my son got that one. I got that for MY living room and it only has 6.1 - i was all pissed and been usin it in the back yard for over a year and a half.....got the OTHER H/K 7.1 for myself so now i have 2 that look just like eachother. I decided to put that in the front room when i got the new TV and it sounds 100x better then the old sony. That sony was a loyal ol' girl though, never let me down in almost 12 years... its nice and all but you know i had to keep the 7.1 for my gaming/kick-it room though I had to get rid of my HK AVR5 reciever about 2 months ago, I had it since 1998 and I must say, I abused the hell out of it. I have tested 1ohm subs off of it, ran daily dual 2, and 4ohm subs off of it, right off the deck power, and I couldnt get that thing to fail- (35w/rms x5 of high current power) But again, it was a 1997 model, the last year the HKs were made in the usa I needed digital, so I got a Sherwood Newcastle R-945 - Retailed for $1400 back in 99' I believe, but its a work horse, and sounds good, and its digital Next step is a 2000 Model of the AVR7000 lol I like myself older receivers, but will get something new one day Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. *1LOWSUV*
Fuckin LOL! Steve, you and I pretty much live the same lives.....I have a 65" Mitsubishi Projection TV that for the past year have wanted to replace with "Something" on the wall. Finally agreed (With the Wife) that we're going with the Sharp Aquos 65" because I said, "I have a 65" If I go smaller with an LCD it'll look too small"...Lol, I know now thats definetly not the fact. Have only 3 kids living with me now but each has their own room with a flat screen in each ...Mounted on the wall since the youngest (6 now) decided to color the Princess TV that bused to sit on the dresser awhile back. Out of reach now except like you said the side buttons but she now uses the remote. We also have a "Family" room with fireplace where the 65" and PS3/DVD/Xbox360/surround sound all call home...its not as big as the "Great" room (thats what its called) which is the "Wife's" room with her fancy couches and 50" TV with the Wii hooked up to it. Thats HER area....LOL! The great room is basiclly a dining room and front room all in one....long room rectangle shape. I have the Family room...its next to the kitchen so I aint complaining. Our bedroom also has a 47" LCD on the wall which I actually like better then the 65" now that I'm a converted believer. New Sharp should be here in a week...I can't wait. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/dirol.gif Quote [email protected]
meade916
i feel u on that bro.......my kids break EVERYTHING they touch. When they were very young like yours and i got my first bigscreen (friggin' tank of a 4:3 48" ) i went and got some 1/8" plexi and made a screen guard.....that thing saved the TV at LEAST 5 times in its life span not to mention the never ending paw-prints and sticky stuff that somehow got on there Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! It took a few years of saving up but i eventually did it. Oh and having my OWN living room to call my own, and her the same is the greatest EVER. The 60" is both ours, i bought it after all, but we keep it in HER room LOL Oh i got mind control over the wife......she's like "you arent watching my TV with your friends" and im like "OK"......but when she leaves, "i be watchin it again" :D my room is the one off in the distance with the screen above the fireplace....i love it, but damn i like the new one better. I see an upgrade in that area coming soon. Now that they all been replaced, the "rotation" trick begins again. The new better shit comes my way and the older, yet still pimp shit trickles down to the bedrooms I want a 55" LED for that room next. Costco has a 55" Vizio for $1700...Nothing but good reviews on it. I know what you mean by "Rotation". I told the Wife once the new TV gets here the Mitsu 65" (which like yours is not a box but the wide screen kind) is going in "Her" room and the 50" we've had since forever can be given to her brother for his outdoor patio area...just as long as its not cluttering up my garage. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/dirol.gif Quote [email protected]
