Welcome new mod :)

So Mr. Overclocker, How can I get passed 2.7mhz stable? My old chip was easy to reach 3.2, and this new(er) chip has me baffled :( still benchmarks higher then the old chip tho :)

be more specific. What is the CPU? 2.7Mhz is easy to go further with, you mean 2.7GHz :spiteful: . Post up your specs, and BIOS pics and we can get that sucker jammin.

those 2 cards are nearly IDENTICAL in performance. Both are great cards. here ( http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MT...GVudGh1c2lhc3Q= ) If frequent driver updates is something you like, then go Nvidia. It seems they have new beta drivers out every other day! ATi however does do a WHQL driver once EVERY MONTH. So, it is totally up to you. Sometimes it comes down to which games you play. Some games might performance 10-15% faster on a certain GPU, then the other. Also, keep in mind, if you go with Nvidia all there GF8/9/GTS/GTX series cards also accelerate Physx built into the GPU. So you really get 2 cards within one. Physx games like MIRRORS EDGE is the fucking shit! Best game ever! Also UT3 with physx enabled is ungodly awesome.

holy crap, did you play mirrors edge, AND NOT HAVE A PHYSX CAPABLE GPU? If so, get the Nvidia GTX260/275 (if you can stretch another $75 bones) and re-play the game. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Also, get fear2, another great ass game.

since PCI is not good for graphics cards what is? im assuming its because of the bit "width" of the slots.

PCI was a "bus" that started back in the 16bit days when the 486 dx4 was JUST starting to roll out. It was designed (at that time) to create a high speed interconnect for all types of add-in-cards. Was very good for quite a few years. Back in 1996 (I THINK) AGP came out and that was for 1 thing, and 1 thing only.....Graphics cards, and NOTHING ELSE. Accelerated Graphics Port lasted to around the 2004, then PCI"e" debuted, and is what we use today. We will all come to find out that PCI"e" will be the most common port (if not the only port) on all motherboard soon. They are offered in several speeds, all of which are backward compatable with each other. PCIe 1x/4x/8x/16x. You can plug a 1x card into a 4x slot, a 8x card into a 16x slot, see what im saying? Also, USB 3.0 is coming out at the end of this year (or should be at least) so.......the future looks awesome for some real speed! Core i7 bloomfield CPU's, quad SLi, 12GB DDR2166ram @ 1.6v.....holy shit, PC porn :air_kiss:
