FI BL vs. Dc lvl 4 w/lvl 5 parts

im with hoe92 comparing the bl and lvl4 with 5 coil imo id say the dc is better. if it were a regular lvl4 and bl, id say the bl

i have had both dcs the lvl4 with lvl5 coil and regular lvl4 and never had a problem with either. minus the regular lvl4 getting a little warm. the bl hoe92 has pounds like no other but sometimes gets very war.when letting it rip for a while. when it comes down to it id say go with the one that costs less. they are both bad ass

I like the tinsels on a BL far better then DC's

I prefer for loudness a BL over a lvl4 and lvl4 with 5 coil (xl is way to go from DC in that matter imo)

the level 4 sounds better to me then the BL though

as far as the SSD and lvl3 the SSD is far louder, the lvl3 is more comparable to a SE

Ive had all of the subs and played with every one of them in diferent boxes so i kinda have an idea abotu them (my opinion andhow)

i have BL's on 2 t 1500's and there awesome. i have also had absolutely no problems with them.

BL ftw.

I can play mine for 15min full tilt....not dropping below 14v and have no problems and both birthsheet read over 1500wrms...

So the guy that said his gets warm on 1500wrms after a min either a) is clipping the crap out of it or has a box issue where the sub can't move enough to cool itself..... My bet is clipping.

I have the BL and it doesn't really like the 1500 watts I'm throwin it, it gets warm after about a minute of a good bass song

it does get loud though.

99vic had the LVL 4 with LVL 5 coils on 1500 watts and it seems they did a little better.

either way you are getting a great product

You may need to adjust something if you are getting it hot on that little bit of power (if you still have the bd1000)

Odds are you are clipping the amp...i've ran WAY more clean power then that to the same coil / sub and never even got it remotely warm.

gain is all the way down but I don't have too many issues with heat now that it is inverted

my lvl4 gets warm after 30 seconds or so and not to long after i can smell the coil. Then again my amp seems to only want to put out 900wrms stupid BXi1606D

i know it was clipping because i used an oscope, stupid imp rise 3ohms FTL

wire to .5

my lvl 4 took a Crunch 3000GP wired at 1ohm for a few months. I never clamped it to find rise and real output- but it was up there.
