Noobtastic14 Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 Topic moved to the right section -Drew **PS i run cheap wal-mart RCAs, have done it for years and have not noticed anything different or lacking in my setup. Although i would recommend upgrading to nice RCAs as soon as you have the chance I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. BJD3 Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 I don't think you'll damage anything, I think its just that if you get cheaper ones, you may not be getting the best out of your system. You may get a lower quality wire that will degrade over time, or one that doesn't reject interference as well. IMO, if you can't hear the difference, it isn't worth the money. Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. Torres Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 if you spend $75k on an audio system in your car with nice high end equipment, would you stop at wal mart to pick up some RCA's? there's a lot of differences quality-wise. but people will argue over the sound difference in them. i've never run any high end RCA's myself, but between my stinger, off brand, and home made RCA's, i havent been able to tell a difference
kingsuv Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 99% of people won't hear a difference and the other 1% are full of shit saying they can. Honestly the main reason to upgrade to a nicer cable is to help reject RFI and to have a solid connection at the equipment Some cheaper cables will have a lower tolerance for a tight connection. Also some nicer cables are able to withstand the harsh conditions in a car then cheaper ones. Most of all it comes down to looks. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
redbaron80 Posted July 9, 2009 Report Posted July 9, 2009 RCA's make many companies filthy rich. Why else would they sell RCA's for $ 99.99. Official Scores at the Dash. and YES.
