How many feet of wire

Using 0 gauge wire on all my hook ups and big 3, My car is 15 feet long.

Wondering how long the wire should be total

Just buy a 50 foot spool get your big 3 done, then still have enough wire to hook up your system.

For my 03 Grand Am I only needed like 6 feet of 0/1 to do my big 3. I would say about 35 would do it, but thats for my car, also it wont hurt to have a full 50 foot spool, you will most likely upgrade in the future and will end up having more runs of 0/1.

A trick I use when a kid comes into the shop is grab some string kit string. And I try to follow the vehicle from front to back where the power wire would run. Starting at the front battery working my way to the back, holding the string in place with pieces of masking tape or scotch tape.

Once you got it all ran, mark the string or snip it off, pull it all out and take a tape measure and see how long the string is in a straight line.

^^ what he said. no one can tell you without knowing the car. my friends pontiac has his battery in the back end somewhere...so if i were to tell you 'oh 5 feet would work' i'd be wrong

Id agree with the 50 ft roll....can never have too much wire....and measuring the length of your car wont really work all that well cuz it takes up alot of footage runnin it thru diff components (firewall, which side your bats on, goin around seats, etc.)

at time you may always not have the money to buy a full roll.

I recently ran into that problem, and I work at a shop and my price is hella cheap, but still not the funds in the pocket to do so.
