I thought so. Yeah, I know. I wish I wouldn't have bought them but, I did. I love the tower idea, that would look wicked. Do you mind if I work something out on sketchup with that idea? Maybe I can do it for the subs I have for now and them redo it with some new ones later. I have good skills with the wood, build furniture and guitars for a hobby, but have never tried fiberglass. Budget is pretty open, but I want to save up the next time I buy subs and buy the best ones I can get.

Yup thats me, Ed razorlite.

I just dont go on there much anymore.

Well if you can use more space and want some wow, I would suggest selling those subs and getting something a little more suited to your goal.

T3 makes some good subs, but we wont have any available for a long while.

As far as best performance, a ported box with subs up, ports back is best. But you can get creative and do something fancy.

I always wanted to build towers in the back of mine. With 2) 12s stacked on top of eachother on the sides just near the rear side window. And have the subs fire on an angle facing in and to the rear. Then the center will be open between the towers so you can see out of the rear view.

Then I was gonna put my amps on the floor.

depends on your skills and budget for supplies.

yeah, work it up and see how it looks. The shallow subs may be better for that.

I didnt want the towers coming too far in the center so I was going to remove the plastic panels and have the enclosure go as far back as the side glass, then have plex on the box and when the light is on in the box, you see the rear of the subs.

its not a hhr, its an excursion with 4 8"s, the led strip lights up the whole back idk why it only shows that one part, and i have had over 800 lbs on that box, and it holds it fine, lots of bracing in it (not needed for power but for ability to put shit on it) and sounds good, would be mighty for port wars

Man I love the way your new system turned out. Looks great. I wish I had the guts to do something like that. That was a big change from the past system that you just posted. How's it holding up and sounding. I had an idea to do something like yours on a small level. Cancellation??

Its an incredible design that Steve came up with and has no cancellation at all. It is holding up perfectly cause everyone including Steve said I had to build it strong and well braced. I just discovered last week that it can float a styrofoam cup.

I really like the look of your bandpass, I only did one bandpass in all my years of building for 2 Orion 12"s and it was power hungry...maybe it was the subs.

Listen to what Ed Lester has to say, he knows his stuff; and is an HHR owner, too.....a rather nice HHR!
