if u set your gains right then u shouldnt need to use it in the first place. from what i hear they are pretty accurate, but im sure they arent exact....

those amps look nice, you should be happy with them.

the clipping light blinks before an osciloscope showed visual clipping

dj suggests turning the remote bass control to 1/2-3/4 and turn the gain up on the amp until the light is blinking but not staying on at all...

thats a pretty simple way of setting ur gain huh :good:

thats whut i did on my 1200d and ive been using it daily like that for 4 months now.

2002 Dodge durango 4.7L

Autopage 2 way remote start alarm system

2 AQ 15 Aluminum coils.

1 AQ2200D (soon to be 2).

8.5 cubes tuned to 38hz.

Yellow top under hood.

Kinetik 1800 in rear.

Big 3.

Kicker ZX200.4

Kicker 6.5 doors (blown)

RF 6.5 comp set (soon to come)

1 run of Stinger 1/0 guage (soon to be 3)

All of the above is all gone

Currently own a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6

No audio components.

the bass light will also "teach" you how to listen and recognize clipping and what distortion sounds like... that way u are less likely to play dirty songs when u have a blinking red light right in ur face...

i still dont understand why every amp isnt made with a clipping indicator... seems rediculous not too

as long as it isn't staying on and just blinking you'll be fine. The amp is bullet proof. I run mine at /2 ohm daily no problem.
