With the DMM you are reading the DC Resistance, not the Impedance. A 1ohm coil usually reads about .7 ohm for dc resistance, a 2ohm coil would be 1.4 ohms dc resistance

Im waiting on some items to get here, in the meantime, i was out testing the outputs of the amps and these things are BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. Just 2 subs, 4 amps, and 12vdc (car not running) with the box on the floor and subs not screwed in...it was GETTIN IT. The paper is cool to see shred like that but seeing my sons face when i hit the bass knob tells all
