thanks again everyone!!!

and no, i cant really strip the vinyl back and glue the port in. It is pulled HARD around the corner to the backside and stapled. It has backing on it and there is 2 layerss if you count whats coming from the box itself and that will have to also serve as the new weather stripping (to seal the port). I will PROBABLY fasten it as much as i can from the inside and then maybe use less bolts on the front, and nicer ones - perhaps stainless or just paint the ones that i already have. Its not that critical, this is just temporary, i am hoping to build a new box after the new subs get here. Probably not right away but eventually.

i still havent gone out there i am about to now so ill figure it out.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

i personally would have messured out how long of a bolt was needed and flipped the t-nuts to be on the underside of the wrap. that way you could have just tightened it all up from the inside with a little lock tite and you would have been set. i figured that was what you did. but if you put bolts on externally the painted route would look best. IMO. but hey its all temporary anyways. coming together great steve.

no you wouldnt have "personally done it" like that..... because you cant. I cant either. The top of the port has no access. Thats the only reason i may have to go back to the bolts to begin with. If i would have known for sure how i was going to do all this i would have fastened the port FIRST then wrapped it.......but i didnt, as usual, i was freestylin and doing whatever came to mind. I did practice a few times with the groove-trick before i tried it on the box itself though. I figured if i messed up trying, i only lose a small piece instead of a large one.........which i did LOL, took 2 tries to nail it. No matter what, it will be good, im not sweating it. Terminating the vinyl around the port like i did, was the hard part and honestly a little stressful too.

anyway, i appreciate the suggestions from everyone but i really dont need em!

thanks anyway though! :)

Steve, I don't know if you've seen it or not, but there's the answer on how to paint over chrome.

My comp setup (Not bad for what it is):

AMD Turion 64 X2 1.6GHz processor

2x1GB stick DDR2 SDRAM (667 Mhz)

Seagate Momentus 500GB SATA HDD

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

12 cell Lithium Ion battery (actual battery usage time: 6 hours)

What it does:
