berniebp87
One of the thing that impresses me the most is that Steve is doing all this in his backyard, a lot of AMAZING things have been made there! Watching all of this makes me wanna rebuild my own car and I just finished it, lol! Oh well, I`ll just have to keep myself away from the garage for a little while Love watching this Steve, top notch every single time! And educational! meade916
good stuff how well do the rings and backing stay in when you are trying to wrap it all in fleece?Nothing is more frustrating than taking all that time getting everything perfect then have it all bust apart when wrapping it........... makes you want to break the whole thing into little pieces. LMAO oh i feel you bro, thats why i get 10% better each time i do this (from messing up). Before i pull my fleece over, i will probably reinforce everything even MORE then it is...because trust me i have had the whole thing collapse before side-note: rode to work today with a bunch of wood rings FTW Its funny how you can drop jaws at the gas station with a panel that is so RAW and far from complete. People think you are absolutely insane Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Over 1,000,000 subscribers strong! meade916
can you show some pics of how you mounted the backer plate to the door panel? or is it just super glued on to hold it until you glass it up? right now its JUST glued in place. In a day or two or 3, i will use a few screws in "key" spots to make sure it doesnt collapse when i pull the fleece over it. awesome work as usuall steve, just one thing i noticed: why did you cut all the rings so far apart on the mdf? theres a hell of a lot of wasteage between those rings...im currently doing my doors so im keen to see how you finish these off the second set of rings in the door is not really rings, its is a solid piece with holes in it. It is a "platform" to mount the actual rings to. When its all said and done it will serve as STRUCTURE and it also gives me a place to run a screw thru and fasten the bottom part to the door from the inside so there are no visible fasteners.
