Btw Logan I doubt you'll see any kind of gain with that enclosure over your previous one. Also since this was a daily build and not for #s, why was this new build directed towards a specific class then?? Big numbers and a daily system don't go hand in hand at all, unless you're running bassrace(even then it's not really ideal). loganberry Posted October 28, 2009 Author Report Posted October 28, 2009 it wasnt directed towards higher numbers im very happy doing mid-high 40's everyday, its the same box...i was in super street 1-2 before and didnt wanna be in that class anymore reglardess of what i could burp that dosnt mater to me, im still not under the window long no matter how i move the box so i dont care...i havnt wired it all up yet so im not sure how it sounds i got a cold and being outside when its like 35 degree's isnt helping...idk about that 2nd alt john, havnt heard anything about it My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk
loganberry Posted October 29, 2009 Author Report Posted October 29, 2009 well im almost done i guess still gotta tweak with the way i want it to sound but im happy with how moving the box down changed the sound its just as loud as before and the lows are better the amps ontop of the box looks sweet but they vibrate a little even though i put rubber washer things under each foot so ithink im going to put some secondskin ontop of the box where they go and see if that helps...still gotta clean up the wiring and build a box thing to go over the batteries, its nice being able to use my rear view mirror again yes the 1 sub isnt mounted strait im not sure if ill fix it or not...space is tight and i smashed my hand bad loading that 75lb sub in there like that and said fuck it i dont wanna move it the right way, everything is still dirty and dusty so dont comment on that My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk

loganberry Posted October 29, 2009 Author Report Posted October 29, 2009 this setup will be changed as soon as i get some enough money to do so, but until then i need to order a ton of fleece to cover everything and make it pretty, ant at SS hooked me up fat today so i got more deadener to do since the stuff on my roof is falling off, need to order a volt meter and i wanna get new mids and highs and some new wire for those also get a bracket so i can run both alts when i get the second from rob sounds pretty good for what it is though My F-150 Build GET ON THE BANDWAGON what if they tried messing with the amps when the subs werent louder hahah jk
Nightshade Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 Looks good Logan. I like the idea of the amps on top of the box too. You said that you used rubber washers, maybe you could get some slip resistant rubber mat to put under them to help too. I think that you may just be louder this way too. Not only because you are running two amps now, but since you dropped the box down lower to the floor. Also about some new mids and highs check out Sonic Electronix for the PPI 355CS 5 1/4" comp set for $75 shipped or hte 356CS 6 1/2" comp set for $135 shipped. They are amazing and sound great. They are rebadged A/D/S speakers from the Directed buyout. If your going to run passive they have the best crossovers that I've ever seen a comp set come with. They have a switch on them so they can be ran biamped, which is completely awesome. All you would need to do is get a plate that will let you run either 5 1/4's or 6 1/2's where the 5X7's are now. They sell these plates or you could just make your own. I have the PPI 5 1/4's that are getting ready to be put into a pair of Qlogic kicks here within the next week or so. You could even go that route but would cost more money cause the kicks aren't exactly cheap.
