24 12's = 2714.4 Sq. In. of Cone Area

8 18's = 2035.74 Sq. In. of Cone Area

Plus there are a lot more reasons to use 12's over 18's :) Number one being pure sexyness

We did setups with two, three, and four 18"s in here last year. They did alright but just not enough. The decision was made to cram as much cone area in as possible and 12"s are the perfect fit with the width available. Multiple subs also spread the power out for better overall power handling & reliability.

Actual tested in vehicle tuning is 24hz. It plays the lows VERY well. Peak hold on music it does between a 155-155.2 from 29hz to 35hz (sealed on the TL, mic on the windshield). It was BassBoxing 154s playing Dj Billy E - Beats for My Van @ 32hz at SBN before the windshield let loose (30sec average, AC meter on the windshield). It did a 153.6 at an event this weekend (30sec average on music on the TL).

It has become impossible to keep the rear side windows in the truck. They have broken totally loose. Even Gorilla Tape won't hold anymore as it just rips it off.

Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)
