underhood of jeep got so hot on the 3 hour drive that the external fan GM large case soaked up all that heat, and melted the coating electrical tape and crimp protector thing and shorted out against itself. the bolts bolting the 2 sides of the case together were glowing orange, there was magic smoke it was very fun. :D

well tomorrow im going to cruise back up and we will find a way to install the new internal fan 2001- later gm large case. the mounting feet on the old gm was straight shot, the new one has a V that protrudes down below the bottom of the alt, so we will clearance the alternator case to try to align it more properly like the old one was. And i will play with this for awhile.

then im gonna talk to someone from one of the big 5 alternator companies, and whoever has a 91 cherokee for mockup is going to get a few hundred to design me a 2 big ass alternator bracket with removal of the stock battery location. or thats how it goes down in my head :D

you guys done with the peepee touching contest or do I need to end it?

yes but i want the jeep as low profile as possible i think if we cutout some vents and put stainless mesh behind them painted gloss black, and some rubber trim around the sharp edges, essentially just have big @ss holes in the hood (not over any electronics) i think it would do the trick.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.
