Nic Posted October 7, 2009 Report Share Posted October 7, 2009 i always low tuned the amps low and let them play for 40 hours( about 3 weeks for me) then i would re tune them and set it all up nice and loud... aznboi3644 Posted October 8, 2009 Report Share Posted October 8, 2009 i wouldnt ever free air my woofers @ 20hz no matter the volume ina box is a different story Nothing wrong with free airing a subwoofer with low frequency tones...only way to blow it is if one is retarded. Broke my 19Ov.2 in by doing 1000 watt sweeps from 100Hz to 10Hz free air. 20Hz does not matter just because it is "low". Playing a tone at the subwoofers Fs will make it move the most.
