Took My Oath Oct 6th- Joined the Air Force.

Air Force? come on man the Marine Corp is where its at! j/k soon you be part of a fraternity of brothers and sisters were friendships will last a lifetime. have fun at basic training even though its not going to be for a while. raising your right hand is pretty nerve wracking but the moment it got "real" was when they took my fingerprints at meps.

Shul is the SR71 pilot... guy is pretty cool... misses it though as you can tell when talking about it.

yep, military is a fraternity for sure... many things you do and are trusted with that civilians will never relate with...

however, for those that just join for the free education, then when called to duty in a war zone and start tree/nut hugging need to be imprisoned. and made to pay back every little red cent the government has paid to train/house/and baby you

man, you guys got it goin on, when i got out of high school all i wanted to do was drink 40's, drive lowered/modified to the point of illegal cars, burn blunts, and "get bitches" LOL!!! (not necessarily in that order).

i never had the balls to join the military. I did do 10yrs on a roof and 18 total so it turned out ok though!

its a special breed of people in the military i swear.

when i was in school there was like 3 or 4 people that i knew that were left handed.

now half of the people i work with on base are left handed. its kind of strange.

didnt see this thread till now....and i was actually looking at the air forces's site last night...

gotta question:

i already have my bachelors in finance...so does that mean i dont have to take the test and all that other jazz...basically im looking to get into the business side of things if anything at all...idk...just checking it out...

just not sure how much is different between having your college degree and not when entering the AF...

if you have a college degree then you will want to become an officer.

twice the pay, half of the work or the enlisted guys. plus you don't have to take shit from all the old E-8s and E-9s

I'm definitely excited for the journey! I'm putting a ring on Hannah's finger and taking her with me. I've been a military Dependent my whole life and if it wasn't so good to my family I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing. I gave myself 3yrs to do college and retail jobs and decided its time to stop putting off the inevitable.
