Kicker Guy Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 if i HAD to run one or the other id baffle up the oval holes and run 6.5 power fosgates. i wouldnt touch punches or any of the kicker lines unless the ss line is still around I do believe the SS line was replaced by the QS line (I think). I was not a fan of the new ones. TheDave Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 For the PRICE / Power handling / Clarity go with the New Rockford Fosgate line of coax or separates. There was EXSTENSIVE amounts of research done prior to these launching and they sound absolutely phenomenal. My fav is the T1652.
BulletInjection Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 I have kickers in my front door but after hearing the rockford comps I don't know if I would run anything else =D My build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...8920&st=100 http://www.youtube.com/Bulletinjection

I run them in a 6 1/2 in the doors configured as a coaxial and they are crossed over actively with my Sundown sax50.4 which works great. The one thing I don't like about them is the passive crossover. The one in my passenger side door had something come loose off the board and would make the side cut in and out. I've ran the older Punch 6 1/2" speakers that could be run as a coaxial with 2 tweets per driver and they were okay. I ended up cooking one of the woofers after having them for about a year and a half. Not the worst speaker ever but didn't expect to burn a coil with the settings that I had which was pretty much no bass at all. I've also heard the Power comp's and would say that I'd give them a try. 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz
