Big_Power_Big_Zapco Posted December 17, 2009 Author Report Posted December 17, 2009 Thanks. here's some pics of the carputer what I did is make 2 plates with wings in them then mounted 4 rubber vibration mounts between them. then i mounted foam between the pc and floating plate. then used some nice Buna o-rings over the screws to give me DOUBLE vibration isolation. all the wires go through a double foam clamp so they don't vibrate loose....... I've been dreading the next step..... all the control and audio wiring. what to hook up, and where to hook up, and the type of hook up will be easy for me. its just the amount of time to do it. i hope i can stay focused on it and not walk away to work on one of my other projects. plus this project is actually version 9.99 as I kept buying equipment, designing my wiring schematic AFTER buying the amps, speakers, etc just to sht-can the idea, throw the stuff on the shelf, and buy my new idea. also the GF has gotten tired of me telling her "NO, we can't go out to that restaurant, Pappadeaux is too dam expensive this week". http://www.pappadeaux.com/home/ great food , and drinks though.... and then the next day another box comes UPS for my shelf.... or maybe the Boomvada some women just don't understand electronics, of all types ARE the life blood of guys with electrons flowing through their veins\wires\neurons\whatever... still, I love her to death...... wait, maybe I should take her off as beneficiary of my life, read that as "my death", insurance ? edit... sorry about the dust in the pics on the stuff to lazy to use windex.........
