What if I have a "voltage booster" like this that boosts the voltage by 1.2 volts? Can I still use it, or will I need it? If I can use it do I plug the VCM into that or to the alt, then the booster?

So your voltage will not drop down? Don't have a real time to give you on it. Just have to send it in and see whats wrong with it and then work to get it fixed. Dip switch configuration depends on the version you have and should be on the instructions that came with it. If you need help with it just email [email protected]
