idbl_fanatic Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Looks good...............and I must say, since, those are my amps, I do have 1 concern..........those amps might not like being inside the box like that. Have you tested it yet? 160 + dB and Gaining!!
kickerman Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 lookin sick man!! 18" mmats juggernaut rf t10001bd alpine h/u
Forevrbumpn Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 sweet idea, but one thing I have noticed is...... Even mounting amps on boxes, amps have a high falure rate due to vibrations, but INSIDE the box? thats insane, might be worse.... I have built a box where the amp was mounted on the box, and the port shoots over the amp to cool it, and that was just 3 10s and a 1000w amp..... I cant imagine 16- 12s with a shit load more power Did you go inside amps, and epoxy all componets in place? NASA style I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
kingsuv Posted July 31, 2007 Author Report Posted July 31, 2007 Looks good...............and I must say, since, those are my amps, I do have 1 concern..........those amps might not like being inside the box like that. Have you tested it yet? Yep I have. other then getting more air pushed through them. I don't see any other differences having them mounted to the box or being mounted under the box for vibrations. At some point I will have a piece of plexi over the top to lessen the turbulence that it may cause in the port. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
