As a person who has built on this motor and knows exactly how tight the gap is i would not recommend running them daily. These were built for the BURP vehicles in mind to give you huge motor strength but not anywhere near as forgiving as a standard XL. Remember all the Dc subs are build for reliable daily use, not so much peak SPL, this is where the new SPL versions come into play. Just remember that if you want a daily sub get the standard version.

I will have both sets on hand and will have to play it by ear lol No matter what happens I can run a 39.9 without even blinking :P

With a gap that tight I would be astonished if it made it through a bassrace run...any coil rock and that thing is toast....but it made for burping anyways.

With no vented polepiece and a gap that tight....thing has to have a ton more motor strenght :)
