01ExSport Posted February 25, 2012 Report Share Posted February 25, 2012 Like 3 years ago, installed a H/U in my car without bending any tabs on the sleeve and everytime I would hit a bump it would fall out and dangle by the RCAs. I didn't know ANYTHING about car audio, but my uncles all had VERY loud, professionally installed cars, so I just wanted to show them I could do it without them. MISTAKE. Anyway, they ran my power wire outside the car. Yes, I mean they ran the power wire out the hood and through the gap between the door and the fender...on the outside. When my uncle saw it, he almost killed me. third mistake was getting rid of this.... art series ppi amp. Learning Everyday. Amart88 Posted February 25, 2012 Report Share Posted February 25, 2012 One day long time ago I was replacing the head unit and I said "nah its straight forward, I don't need to disconnect the neg batt terminal" sure enough, bumped the power wire and enjoyed a nice little spark show which then I had to tear apart the console to replace some fuses lol.. a common stupid mistake that I learned from haha My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
