Kinetik 3800 vs XS 3100

What is a better battery and why the Kinetik 3800 or the XS Power 3100?

3800 hands down. There will probably be some Xspower nuthuggers that tell you otherwise.

I am running 3 3800s now but have been to told that kinetik was going out of business...not sure if this is true or not. I am trying to decide if I should add more kinetiks or change over to XS.

kinetik is not going out of business and i use 2-3800's great batteries with alot of reserve power.

ive had both brands of batts, and i like the xs power a lot more.

ive heard that kinetik went under but someother company bought them out.

Everybody has a different success story with each battery. They are both great and have both found flaws in each others products.

dBDrag world record holder Craig Butler uses Kinetik 16V batteries with competitors like Alan Dante running Powermaster not far behind.

Tommy McKinnie and Frankie Rio, as an example, use Powermaster for 159.9 bassrace. Hank (2000LaDe) on here uses Kinetik and there are tons of 149.9 guys running both.

These are just examples. They are both great batteries.

To answer your question directly, however, the 3800 has a higher capacitance while the 3100 has been tested to discharge at a higher rate (but not much). The results were posted on this forum last year, but the choice remains subjective. PM scottiej to get some results from tests.
