Hey bud I know you have gotten alot of opinions so far but I thought I would just let you know since you are going for SQ, I just installed 2 8's in a 1950 Mercury Roadster subs facing forward, sealed box and 300 watts each (this customer was going for sq as well) I set him up a good front stage and threw in those 8's and it sounds absolutely great. You won't be shaking the pavement, but inside the ride is great, and given what you said you were looking for I believe that you would be very pleased with a similar set up.

You don´t have enough power for a Fi Q 12" , you won´t have 750 watts, you have 750 watts now before impedance rise and voltage drops, you can sound better and louder with a softer suspension than that monster sub, i would use a DD 1512 if i were you, but once again, reading this thread you seem to do whatever you want, so i don´t even know why you started it haha :yahoo:

Omg, this thread is so full of fail.

DOn't recommend him a 15 inch sub if he only has 2.5cu ft to work with.(15's need atleast 2.5 cuft, without adding port displacement which will be more then 0.5cu ft.)

I think the first idea was one of the best, 2 10 type R's or 1 12 inch sub.

The best thing for his applications would be a Sundown SA-12, it only needs 1.5-1.75cu ft, and has a RMS of 600w.(i don't think it would be a problem for the SA-12 to handle 750w RMS)

The SA-12 in a 1.5cu ft box (net), with 20-22 sq inches of port area would be perfect.(tuned to 34hz)

EDIT: for the guys that say he doesn't has enough power for a FI Q, he does have enough power, even on 500W it would be loud.

And the DD 1512, will not sound better in perfect conditions, the Fi Q is a SQ sub, the DD isn't.(i think the 1512 looks "cheap", and the Fi Q doesn't)

Thinking is the root of all problems...

You ALWAYS get what you pay for.

No, i never heard one, but it doesn't says SQ line of subwoofers or something like that.

So you don't agree that both subwoofers in their perfect boxes, the Fi Q will sound the best?

id love to do a single 15 if i could get away with the box being no bigger then 2.5 cu ft

If your stuck on a single sub set up, then go with a 2500 series from DD. the are rated at 750rms. The 1500 series will work on that power, But the 2500's will work better. Now for a dual sub set up. You could go with a pair of 500's or 1000 series. And before anyone chimes in with there bs of that wont work, yes it will I am a DD dealer. I know these subs. Yes the 2500 series will handle around 1400 per sub, they get plenty loud off 750. Now i have never dealt with dc or ia dubs, so i'm not going to give you any opinions on those subs. There are plenty of people here on the bandwagon, and the bashwagon.
