HHR Ed
Do your amps REALLY do 10200 RMS? You could try a bigger box with a bigger port but be careful the subs may not like that. Actually, a smaller box would yield higher numbers. rival904
Cadence C5, C6, and C7 are rated at 18v. Cadence is sponsoring me this year. I have 2 of the C5's also. They are rated @ 3800 @ 1ohm @ 14v Heres what we got when we clamped it. Ignore the DD M3 bullcrap, yes this is my truck in the video. Its at my buddys shop, hes the only DD dealer around, so this was trying to promote his shop and move some product. Any other questions about these amps let me know. EDIT - look @ where my imp rise is it, it was at .5ohm, and rose to 1.xx. Thats probably the most IDEAL imp rise we could have gotten. 2004 Yellow F150 STX 4x4 Single Cab 2 Yellow DC Power 270SP's Alts 4(and counting) XS Power 6500's 4 DD3515s Supercharged 53cu.ft 4th order blowthrough 8 DD M1b's 6 Selenium 8's 2 Selenium ST350s 154.1 @ 41hz Legal Burp Build Log
kirill007
Maybe more port area? You have around 12sq inches of port per cu ft. DO something like 15-16 sq inches of port per cu ft. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
97SSBlazer
Actually, a smaller box would yield higher numbers. Really? I guess I got it backwards... I thought more port area was better... lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz. -= 2005 Tahoe LT =-Head unit: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHSSource: iPad Mini in dash Subs: 2 T1 12's Sub Amp: T1500-1bdCPWire: Rockford Fosgate 1/0 awgSignal Cable: MonsterFronts:Stock Bose for now:)Rears: Stock Bose for now:)MIds/High amp: Stock Bose for now:) 2005 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172529-2005-tahoe-my-17th-vehicle/ 2001 Monte Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160030-2001-monte-carlo-my-16th-car-lol/page-2#entry25309381997 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemead...oe-6-15-rf-15s/2001 Impala Build Log: http://www.stevemead...katzkin-inside/
rival904
Smaller box has less rise. 2004 Yellow F150 STX 4x4 Single Cab 2 Yellow DC Power 270SP's Alts 4(and counting) XS Power 6500's 4 DD3515s Supercharged 53cu.ft 4th order blowthrough 8 DD M1b's 6 Selenium 8's 2 Selenium ST350s 154.1 @ 41hz Legal Burp Build Log

DO something like 15-16 sq inches of port per cu ft. he has that port area because i was told it was for daily beating not competing and was told he would be slamming on them daily with 10krms in the end they are 1krms subwoofers that are in about 5.25cubes each to compensate for the power they would have been gave
HHR Ed
Really? I guess I got it backwards... I thought more port area was better... Yes, port area can be. There is also too much. But I was referring to box volume. ALPINE408
Put the subs in the box and don't invert them kbye Have you ever had your woofers blown?
rival904
Just thinking out loud, but I wonder how your imp rise is affected with subs inverted, if it increase or decreases? 2004 Yellow F150 STX 4x4 Single Cab 2 Yellow DC Power 270SP's Alts 4(and counting) XS Power 6500's 4 DD3515s Supercharged 53cu.ft 4th order blowthrough 8 DD M1b's 6 Selenium 8's 2 Selenium ST350s 154.1 @ 41hz Legal Burp Build Log
HHR Ed
Inverting the subs would have very little if any change at all. And I believe he is asking about a few dBs. Not a fraction of a dB. it does all add up, but thats not the issue at hand.
