hmm how about sittn and watching playgrounds for sex offenders and protecting our kids instead of worring about music being heard more than 75ft away. and how is it making way of life n=better when these people have to pay to get their cars out...to get to work so they can pay bills and all that. i know if our car got impounded we would be screwed in a way.... and my girl would have to walk to work in the dark...fuck that,dont sound "better" to me/. sounds more like the city/state needs to figure out how to bring in more loot...just my .02

I've said before, there are WAY more Harleys and muscle cars than (lol) boom cars. IMO, Harley's are the most annoying fucking thing EVER. We can contact state congressmen to help the cause. At the same time, we must stop the dumbasses that go full tilt in neighborhoods, especially at late hours.

x2 i was pulled over once for noise a few years back and the ass hat cop sat there tellin me this n that while a big ass chvy truck with none or a very limited exhaust on it drove by. so i said whats the deal with them loud trucks? got a warning and he went about his day...with out messing with that loud truck. harleys drive around here all the time and you cant even think about thinkin they are soo loud. i dont hate on them its just a lil unfair in a way. i cant even hear our TV when one drives by but when somebody rolls by beatin its no where near as loud or annoying. people complaining about it should just realize that there will always be something to complain about , just make it worth while

im betting that they are most likely in violation of the noise ordenace with their sirens i nkow i live 800 yards or better from th interstae and i can hear the sirens going down the interstate that is more than there 75 feet rule ban together and fight this useless rule lets hold them accountable to thier violation of it also they are not above the law they are to uphold it

Exactly. Things like their sirens will be upheld in the courts. If we just keep cool and fight it in a civil manner, these BS laws can be overcome. The bottom line fight is, if the city sound ordinance sound level is ?, then it must apply to ALL motor vehicles, not just loud music.

Take this into account if you are cited for noise. Take it to court and ask the judge to lower the fine or take into account that its not a 'music' law, but a noise law, and we should not be singled out when there are other sources of this broken ordinance.

You can fight this.

And for the record, fuck old people complaints and their tales of loud music being connected to drug activity and guns and violence.

i know laws are different in different places but is it legal to impound for a noise ordinance its not even a moving violation? im sure the cops could get away with it but maybe somebody with the right friends can get crap like that overturned

If you are willing to front some cash and fight things like this can and will be overturned.

Like I said earlier I would end up in jail for assault.

I have enough background to know when a cop has probable cause and is just trying to scare you into allowing them to do as they please.

Sometimes it is better to goto court and talk with the judge and prosecutor. If your polite and courteous most of the time they will work with you.

Just be sure to do your research on the matter. If you can provide factual data that is beneficial to your case they have to allow and consider it.

Sounds like they just have too much time on their hands and not enough crime to fight. In South Florida, they don't screw with you for that unless you are in a Ocean Front community or something where they will ticket you for going 1/4 mile over the speedlimit anyway. If you are anywhere else down here, they don't mess with you. But at the same time, both the Sheriffs office and local PD's have enough crime to keep them busy so they don't fuss with BS like this.

Basically, if you live in an area with Neo Nazi cops that have nothing to do, just be smart and bump somewhere else.
