whats the "biggest" system i can put in..........

So my electrical can't take my 1600 watts RMS setup any longer, so im going to have to re do my system to something smaller but still bangs decent.

I currently have a nice Alpine MRP500 amp, and good 4 gauge wiring. What subs can i put with this amp for most SPL/some SQ? I was thinking 2 12" kicker comps the new style, or 2 alpine type S subs. or maybe 1 15" rated at 500 RMS or so.

For the mids and highs i plan to run:

Speaker Amp: any 125x4 amp (need suggestions)(i was thinking alpine PDX series)

Front speakers: Type R components

Rear speakers: cheap pioneers but sound good enough

Sub amp: Alpine MRP500 (since i already have it) or maybe kicker ZX750.1 or maybe MRP1000 if my electrical can take it.

Subs: need suggestions

So basically all i need is a new speaker amp and subs, as for budget i would like to spend about $400 for both the subs and speaker amp.

my electrical consists of a 90 amp alt, and yellow top battery. this is all going in a trunk car btw

For $400 you can upgrade your electrical system.

Then youd be good with what you have, and be setup to upgrade in the future.

I'm looking to sell my current setup for $400 and using that for a smaller setup.

in the future once i get a job, and have some cash flow coming in, i will upgrade the elecrical and put like 2 15" AQ on a AQ2200.

but for now, i think 2 kicker comps will do the job.

I just don't see why you would rather keep stock eletrical, and downgrade your system, when for about the same price, you can upgrade your electrical, and keep your current system.

Makes no sense to me...

I need like $600 to upgrade the electrical, and i dont have that cash. (yet) so im putting in a temp. system until i get a job then after buy some nice subs and amps and alternator (15's on 2000 RMS, way bigger than current setup).

If i were you, i would focus on the electrical first. Usually thats the first thing a true basshead works on first. Then work your way up to bigger and better subs, amps, etc, etc.

Yeah I had this problem too. Tried to run a big system on stock electrical. It failed really hard, really quick. So rather than ditch my build that had taken weeks I did my big 3, added 2 big stinger batteries and redid my amp wiring & now I'm very happy because iv got tons of beat & an upgraded elec. System.

x2 just turn the gains down for now and call it "down graded" lol save up for electrical
