Shyne151 Posted July 9, 2010 Report Posted July 9, 2010 How about I offer some actual help... Check the red and yellow wires coming out of the drivers window switch... When pushing the up button check the yellow wire for 12v and the red for ground. They will be thicker gauge wiring. This will tell you if the switch is working. Do the other windows work and did you check all the fuses? At first ALL the windows wouldnt go up, so i checked and replaced all the fuses and the drivers window wont go up.

It does sound like a bad window switch though. It's common for a 20 year old switch to get bad contact on the metal prongs after so much use. Also, why were all of the fuses popped? Did you ground something out? Might have damaged more like the window motor or regulator. (thick) Grab a cordless drill batt and touch the 2 wires to pos, and neg. Try it both ways, 1 way is up, 1 is down. If the window still doesnt go up, then it's the motor. Just the one for the windows and power locks

Im thinking it is the switch, also, cuz it was working fine and the motor wasnt slowing down. If that is the case looks like i am going to pull a part!
