until you are presented with that situation you really can't say what you'd do. I feel you made the right choice though and totally agree. When it becomes a me or you situation, I like me a whole lot more than I like you. in both situations I feel you made the correct decision. not only were they endangering you they were endangering others around them as well.

N8 you always have ways of makin me fuckin laugh even in a serious event. But i mean its like this everytime in the line of duty you have to pull your weapon your mind races and fills with the "What If's" like waht will he do if i dont shoot or what could happen to his apparent hostage etc. All i can say is that i really appreciate everyone support for what im doing. I never wake up to go to work with a mind full of intentions that i want to kill someone that is the last thought that any LEO ever wants to do but in a split second life can change.

Another think that isn't pointed out here.. but smoke can agree with this I am sure... I have had freinds that are LEOs that had to take someone's life and even when those poeple are in the wrong that you had to take... thier family and friends will most likely blame you and it most of the time will be made public to try to make the officer look like he was in the wrong... Don't get me wrong.. I am sure there were times when deadly force wasn't justified... but it has to be hard when it is and you feel like smoked does and you get blamed for that persons death... You didn't make him pull that gun, he made the decision to put his life and everyone elses life on the line by pulling the gun on smoked...

im more than sure that he will get professional help as well but for now he has us. I have no issues with this type of thing at all. Im tempted to move it to 18+ though.

I dunno about moving... it isn't that graphic... and so many younger poeple have a hatred for law enforcement... maybe it will do good for them to see what goes on on the other side of the badge and see how officers feel about the decisions they are faced with each day... I will help patrol the thread N8 if you leave it... (I think my 16yo son needs to read it... he associates any run in with law enforcement bad and that officers are dicks)

Yes i totally agree with this. Im awaiting the aftermath of the family trying to say i killed him in cold blood. Im going to speak for all LEO's when i say Thank God For Dash Cams and Audio Recordings.

Just to clarify i commanded him 3x to drop his weapon before he pointed it at me at which time i opened fire

WOW. Hey bro, you were the one in those postions, noone can tell you if you were right or wrong. You know you did what you had to.

I do question why you put so many shotgun blasts thru the door. I would have assumed in a situation like that, that you would wait for back up of some kind. Im sure the energy was high so you acted in the moment. I dont fault you.
