TeamHT
Got a couple questions for you guys. I want to hit harder than my 142.1@50hz. Is it possible with my 2 10" Kicker Solo X and 2 Kicker ZX2500.1? my current box is tuned to around 40hz. my car peaks at 50hz with the box. I'm not sure how low I can tune the box with my Solo X maybe you guys can help me out. any help will be appreciated. If it helps any this is for daily listening and i listen to rap music mostly current box is 33Wx15hX21D. Thanks Yes, definitely possible. But a lot of factors can affect your score. Electrical: do you have the electrical to actually power those amps correctly? Sound deadening: have any? Especially if its in the trunk. Placement: how are the subs and port facing? And why would you want to tune lower? Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
cubs_fan0718
well the amps are kicker as well. so far these lil 10's are doing a hell of a job i just think they can do better than 142.1 with 5000 watts They can do better than a 42 its all in ur box design, some people might say ur subs suck yada yada yada but thats thier opinion, those subs get loud and they get down, i had my single sub for 2 years and i could not notice a loss in pressure that whole time. Im not gonna say ur gonna get a 150 it might be possible but better than a 42 is reachable. Design a different box, tune it different and see what happens. When i finally went and got it on the TL i did a 142.3 @ 33 hz on Money Man (decafs version) 06 Impala SSKenwood Excelon DDX593 Ampere Audio 150.4 Ampere Audio 5K1 XS D4700 (front)Mechman 320a Alt. w/ Big 3 Lots of Second Skin Damplifier Under Construction for 2017
